The Židlochovice chateau is owned by the Czech Republic and is authorized to run business on behalf of the Forests of the Czech Republic, State Enterprise (hereafter FCR). As an organization unit of FCR it is managed by the Židlochovice Forest Enterprise and houses its headquarters. In the 1970s the chateau was remodeled with the objective to provide accommodation predominantly for hunting guests. That is one of the reasons why it is not open to general public.

At present the chateau provides the venue to host events organized by the FCR, state institutions and different commercial subjects. The Židlochovice chateau is a national cultural monument.
